2006 Ranger Rockcrawler Hits the Mark
Las Vegas, NV ~ Three months after claiming the UROC Supercrawl Cup Team Lovell returned to the Las Vegas Convention Center to debut their 2006 Fabtech Ford Ranger. The new look was revealed at the Off-road Impact show in the Art Carr Performance Products booth. The team was invited to display their C-4 race transmission prepped by Art Carr.
Completion of such a vehicle was no easy task and past successes have not caused the Lovells to loose focus. The whole team has been hard at work in four shops around Colorado Springs to make this project come together. "The last few months have been a challenge," said co-owner Brad Lovell, "It is really hard to change and adapt as we grow. This project required a lot coordination and management, something that we are not used too."
This is also the highest profile build that the team has gone through. "Ford and Fabtech do not want to be involved with anything but the best" added co-owner Roger Lovell, "That put a bit of pressure on us but we were not going to let any of our sponsors down." This meant that the team would accept nothing but the best parts and craftsmanship during the project. "I'll admit that a couple things got done twice, but what we have now is our best effort."
The quality of engineering and fabrication was well noticed by attendees of the Off-road Impact show and it was nearly impossible to miss the new pearl blue paint, flames, and Fabtech logos. "We are really proud," stated Brad, "It was hard work and it was not always easy. We are thankful to all that helped us." Crowds gathered to inspect the body, steering, transmission, and suspension upgrades that have been made. In addition, a Rockspotter.com in car camera system has been added to capture all the action
The 2006 action will start up in early spring as the team defends their championship.
