Brady Smith Gets Going Early
Team AMSOIL Driver scores top tens in Florida

Gibsonton, Fla. ~ Team AMSOIL late model driver Brady Smith is getting an early jump on the competition at the Winernationals in Gibsonton, Fla.  Smith, the 2004 World Dirt Racing League champion and Rookie of the Year, is spending nearly three full weeks running his Chevy Monte Carlo in the Florida sun.

After finishing up a four-race schedule in Georgia, which included two rainouts and finishes of 21st and 18th, Smith headed for the Sunshine State for a week at East Bay Raceway Park.  In round one of the Winternationals, “The Deuce” failed to make the A-Main after an accident during his heat race.  Smith finished sixth in the heat and took an eighth place finish in the B-Main.

On Tuesday, Smith had his best night of racing in Florida.  The Solon Springs, Wis. native won his heat race and drew a seventh place starting spot for the 30-lap main.  Running inside the top 10 throughout the race, Smith finished with an impressive sixth in the final.

The Deuce made it back to the A-Main event on Wednesday night.  Smith finished second in his heat race and started 15th in the main.  He would drive his #2 AMSOIL backed Chevy to a 14th place finish.

On the fourth night of racing, Smith started deep in the field for his heat race and finished twelfth after a couple of in-race incidents.  The young driver made a strong run in his B-Main event, starting in 12th and charging hard to a fifth place finish.
