PowerSports Snowmobile Tour Announces Television Schedule

WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn. (Dec. 27, 2005) — The 2005-2006 PowerSports Snowmobile Tour television schedule will include ten
one-hour telecasts, beginning Jan. 30, on ESPN2. In addition, ESPN and ABC will televise 15 hours of live programming from Winter X Games 10, scheduled for Jan. 28-31 in Aspen/Snowmass, Colo. The event’s Snocross competition will be aired live each day of Winter X Games 10, and will feature riders from the PowerSports Snowmobile Tour.

The one-hour shows will be aired in tape-delayed format. The season-opening AMSOIL Duluth National will air on Jan. 30 at 3 p.m. Last Sunday’s Michigan Snocross is scheduled to air on Feb. 1 at 3 p.m. Other 3 p.m. telecasts are: Round 3: Air Force Canterbury Snocross in Shakopee, Minn. (Feb. 2); and Round 4: Polaris Traverse City (Mich.) Snocross (Feb. 3). Round 5, the Air Force Eastern National at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo, Round 6, the Ski-Doo Grand Prix de Valcourt in Quebec, and Round 7 at CanWest Global Park in Winnipeg, Manitoba will air in 2 p.m. timeslots, on Feb. 17, Feb. 24 and March 3, respectively.

Round 8, The Ultimate Lambeau Leap at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis. will air at 4 p.m. on March 21, followed by Round 9, at a venue to be announced later, which will air in a one-and-half hour time slot on March 27 at 5 p.m. The Nielsen Enterprises Grand Finale, in Lake Geneva, Wis. will air on April 7 at 2:30 p.m.

The shows, which are being produced by renowned motorsports Executive Producer Neil Goldberg, will include racing action from each of the events, as well as features which will give viewers insight into the inner workings of the sport, its teams and its riders. The on-track action will feature a live running order “scroll” with timing-and-scoring statistics, a first for snowmobile racing coverage, as well as live updated results, and other informative graphic information.
