Team AMSOIL in Winnipeg This Weekend

Aurora, Minn., ~ Team AMSOIL snocross riders D.J. Eckstrom and Carl Schubitzke will be on hand as the WPSA PowerSports Snowmobile Tour makes its inaugural visit to CanWest Global Park in downtown Winnipeg for the Winnipeg snocross race. The event marks the seventh round of the 2005 – 2006 season, and is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, February 25 and 26.

Eckstrom enters the weekend just nine points out of first-place in the Pro Stock class of the WPSA. Last weekend, Eckstrom captured third in Valcourt.

Meanwhile, Schubitzke has been recovering from a long bout with the flu. Schubitzke hopes to enter this weekend’s racing in Winnipeg healthy and hungry for his first win

“I just have to find a way to get back on the podium,” said Schubitzke.  “I feel strong and the sleds are working great, I just have to get back on the throttle.”
