SHOCK THERAPY STARTS STRONG, UP TO CHALLENGES

Berlin, MI-What a night it was for the AMSOIL Shock Therapy monster truck! At the first annual Jesse Birgy Memorial event in Berlin, Michigan, Jon Zimmer was set to impress every fan in attendance. Zimmer began his night behind the wheel with the wheelie competition, where a great hit got the crowd excited. Zimmer saved his best efforts for the next two competitions, however.

“We really had the donuts locked in tonight,” he said. “AMSOIL gave us a great product. We were just at an event they put on in Michigan, and I was especially excited to do them proud.” An excellent set of donuts impressed the crowd, but what really etched Zimmer and Shock Therapy into the fans’ minds was freestyle.

Zimmer was slotted to go out as the final truck in freestyle to close out the show on a great note, and though he didn’t get to run very long, he did just that. Two incredible hits and another high-speed cyclone donut later, AMSOIL was finished and the fans were screaming in approval.

“My engine was a year old and had more than 60 shows on it, which is incredible for a monster truck,” said Zimmer. “I got into a high speed donut and it finally let go on me. Again, AMSOIL’s products have done well for us, and having an engine last that long is proof positive.”

After the show, Zimmer and AMSOIL Excaliber’s Kristy Edge were feverishly at work preparing both AMSOIL Shock Therapy and Excaliber for new engines, as the trucks race on Friday in Escanaba, Michigan.

“It will be a rush to get everything set up, but in this business, you cannot let anyone down, especially AMSOIL and the fans!” said Zimmer. “We will be there and ready to go!”
