Competitor Tries, But Fails To
Match AMSOIL Extended Drains

A recent Valvoline
press release claims their new heavy-duty diesel oil is capable
of extending drain intervals up to 100,000 miles "in select
engines under certain operating conditions."
According to
Director of Commercial Brands and technical Services Bill Runkle,
the interval was achieved by a 5W-40 viscosity oil during long-haul,
coast-to-coast trips in Caterpillar C-15 and Cummins ISX engines.
However, the oil was developed specifically for use with exhaust
gas recirculation (EGR) unit, and officials for Valvoline acknowledge
the new oil "won't deliver intervals even close to 100,000
miles in EGR-equipped engines."
With the use
of oil analysis and the AMSOIL Dual-Gard filtration system, AMSOIL
Synthetic Diesel Oils have been proven to extend drain intervals
well over 100,000 miles in heavy duty diesel engines.
The special
performance additives of AMSOIL Diesel Oils, along with the ultra-fine
filtration provided by the AMSOIL Dual-Gard filtration system, have
helped effectively control increased levels of acid and soot associated
with EGR systems.
