AMSOIL AND AIR FORCE TEAM WITH
WSA
(Maple Grove, MN)
AMSOIL, the industry leader in synthetic
lubricants and a partner of the World Snowmobile
Association (WSA) since its inception, will return
for the fifth consecutive year as a major sponsorship
partner of the WSA officials have announced. AMSOIL
will also serve as a presenting sponsor at the
Ski-Doo Duluth National Snocross Worldwide Championship
(SWC) international tour season opener, and at
the tour's fourth stop, the Polaris Canterbury
Snocross.
"AMSOIL basically
started the synthetic lubrication industry in
1972, and they started with us in 1998,"
said WSA CEO Scott OMalley. "And they
helped pioneer the concept of the independent
snocross superteam with their support of the AMSOIL/Schuering
Speed Sport team, and both superstar racers Dennis
Eckstrom and Justin Tate are back to carry the
AMSOIL colors in pursuit of the Pro Stock and
Pro Open titles in our Snocross Worldwide Championship.
Were very fortunate to benefit from their
successful philosophies as a strategic partner."
AMSOIL formulates
a wide selection of synthetic lubricating oils
for all types of engine and gear applications,
including those for specialized vehicles and for
use under severe operating conditions. They also
manufacture fuel additives and filtration systems.
WSA officials also
proudly announced the United States Air Force
would return as a partner for a second year. At
the conclusion of last season, the Air Force presented
the WSA with the prestigious American Spirit Award.
The award, first presented to Bob Hope in 1980,
is the highest form of recognition given by the
Air Force Recruiting Service, and is presented
twice a year to a person or organization who has
consistently displayed continual support, patriotism
and service to the country.
"The Air Force
provides extremely vital personnel, support and
services to the WSA," continued O'Malley,
"and weve been fortunate enough to
have established a special relationship with them.
We were deeply honored to have received the American
Spirit Award, and were extremely happy and
proud
that they have elected to continue working with
us into the future."
WSA will again provide
the Air Force with booth space for recruiters
as well as circulating printed material during
events, and WSA announcers will continue to provide
live commercial spots throughout the events, highlighting
the many opportunities the Air Force offers. At
select National and Regional races, space will
again be allocated for the Air Force Experience
Simulator vehicle.
