Eckstrom Finishes on Podium Again

Pro Snocross Rider Shows He's One of Best No Matter Class

Vernon, NY ~ AMSOIL/Polaris/Scheuring Speed Sports driver DJ Eckstrom has been among the leaders of the World Snowmobile Association's Pro Open class all season and is vying for the overall title. At Vernon Downs racetrack in upstate New York he showed he could also dominate in the Pro Stock class. Eckstrom finished third in the Pro Stock final at round seven of the WSA this weekend. Eckstrom's top finish moves him into contention for the overall Pro Stock class championship, too.

AMSOIL Pro rider Justin Tate bettered his teammate in the Pro Open final. Tate finished ninth to Eckstrom's 10th. Tate crossed the Pro Stock finish line in 11th place. Tate is on his way to solid top five overall finishes in both classes this season. By the slimmest of points margins Eckstrom is third overall in Pro Open and fifth in Pro Stock.

There are three WSA events left this season. Round eight is set for the NASCAR track grounds at the Michigan Motor Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan February 27-29.
