Windham Has
Points Restored
February 11 ~ The AMA has
reinstated 10 points taken from AMSOIL/Chaparral/Honda
rider Kevin Windham. A three person panel
voted 2-1 to restore the points. The penalty
was assessed by the AMA after the Phoenix
Supercross for what was deemed "unsportsmanlike"
racing. The ruling moves Windham into second
place in the AMA/THQ Supercross Series points
standings, with 122 points. He remains 22
points behind the 250 leader, Team Yamaha's
Chad Reed. AMSOIL/Chaparral/Honda's Mike LaRocco,
who was tied with Windham for third, slips
to fourth, with 112 points. Supercross moves
to Houston, Texas for round seven. For more
