Duluth Snocross Racer Puts
AMSOIL On Podium Again

SD ~ Team AMSOIL snocross continues its
fast start and strong showing this season.
Proctor native DJ Eckstrom
finished in third place overall in the World
Snowmobile Association Pro Stock class at
Arctic Cat Deadwood Shootout last weekend.
This was Round Two of the WSA schedule. This
is the fourth competition this season where
a Team AMSOIL rider has finished on the winners
platform.
Eckstrom also finished in
eighth place overall in the Pro Open class.
Teammate Justin Tate, who won the Pro Stock
event in Round One at Duluth, MN, finished
in eighth place this time out. A crash took
Tate out of competition for the Pro Open final.
For the season, Eckstrom and Tate are sitting
fourth and fifth respectively in the Pro Stock
standings. Eckstrom is currently eighth in
the overall Pro Open standings.
The team is gearing up for Round Three and the
Polaris Canterbury Snocross at Canterbury Downs in Shakopee, MN
on January 11-13. Tate and Eckstrom also are preparing for the
ESPN Winter X-Games in Aspen, CO January 17-20. The riders will
be competing in the snocross and hillcross events at the games.
