AMSOIL Introduces SIROCCO® SE Series Synthetic Ester Compressor Oil For Rotary Compressors

AMSOIL INC. of Superior, WI has introduced a new, premium quality, multi-viscosity synthetic compressor oil for rotary screw compressors. AMSOIL SIROCCO® Compressor Oil is formulated with premium synthetic ester technology. It effectively extends compressor life and reduces maintenance costs by reducing component wear and protecting against oxidation, corrosion, foam and rust. It is also highly resistant to water, preventing damaging oil/water emulsions and allowing for longer lubricant life and ease of water removal from the sump.

AMSOIL SIROCCO® SE Series Synthetic Ester Compressor Oils/Coolants are formulated with premium synthetic ester technology. These high quality, extended life fluids last several times longer than mineral-based oils.

AMSOIL SIROCCO® SE Series Synthetic Compressor Oil is compatible with the vast majority of compressor oils* today including mineral based, diester, and Polyalphaolefin (PAO) compressor oils, as well as Polyalkyleneglycol fluids or PAG type compressor oils. The only exception is silicone type oils. Competitive products such as Ingersoll-Rand SSR Ultra-Coolant or Sullair Sullube 32 can be replaced following normal oil change procedures without fear.

Due to its oxidative stability SIROCCO® has a service life up to 8,000 hours (about 1 year of constant compressor operation) without the need to change the oil, providing significant maintenance savings. In addition, the low friction design characteristics of this synthetic oil will also result in considerable reductions (3-8%) in the energy required to operate the compressor when compared to mineral based lubricants.

This product is available now and is code named SEI.

*AMSOIL SE Series is NOT RECOMMENDED as a replacement or for use with the silicone based compressor oil Sullube 24KT. AMSOIL SE Series is NOT RECOMMENDED for use in "Breathing Air or Refrigeration" compressors.
