Brady Smith Racing Regroups from Busy & Successful "Speedweeks 2009"

(SOLON SPRINGS, WISCONSIN)  The Brady Smith Racing team recently concluded their version of “Speedweeks 2009,” which saw the #2 team compete at the Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia, the East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida, and the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida from January 29-February 14.  Brady Smith entered all fifteen Dirt Late Model events during his stint in Georgia and Florida and transferred his #2 Bloomquist / Vic Hill entry into the main event in all but three occasions.

Two Top Five Finishes and Five Top Tem Performances

In the twelve feature events that Brady competed in, the Solon Springs, Wisconsin native recorded a pair of Top Five finishes and five Top Ten performances.  His best run came in the “Speedweeks 2009” finale at Volusia on February 14, as Brady led the first 35 laps of the $10,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series A-Main before settling for a strong runner-up performance behind winner Steve Francis.  You can view all of Brady’s finishes at Golden Isles, East Bay, and Volusia below or you can read a race-by-race recap online at www.bradysmithracing.com.

“It was a pretty decent Speedweeks for us,” exclaimed Brady today.  “We had a fast car every night, but we were just missing a little something that kept us out of victory lane.  I feel good coming out of Florida though because I have never run well historically at Volusia and this year we led two different races there.  Hopefully, we learned some things on these cars that will translate well for the rest of the season!”

Brady and his #2 Dirt Late Model team will sling dirt next on March 13-14 at the Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Alabama.  The World of Outlaws Late Model Series races at Deep South will pay $7,000 to win on Friday and $12,000 to win on Saturday.  Additional information on the doubleheader weekend can be found online at www.worldofoutlaws.com.
