Brady Smith Soldiers to Tenth Place Effort in Texas; Charlotte Up Next!
(SOLON SPRINGS, WISCONSIN) Brady Smith and his #2 Dirt Late Model team invaded the Battleground Speedway in Highlands, Texas last weekend (March 20-21) for the inaugural running of the 'Lone Star 100.' The World of Outlaws Late Model Series sanctioned the two-day show, which was highlighted by a $20,000 to win feature event. During preliminary action on Friday evening, Brady timed in fifteenth quickest in WOOLMS qualifying and later ran third in his competitive heat race.
The Solon Springs, Wisconsin native then rolled off from the inside of the sixth row for the 'Lone Star 100' on Saturday night. Despite suffering damage from a tangle on lap 17, Brady soldiered on to earn a tenth place performance in the 100-lap affair. Following the Battleground event, the "Prodigy" is currently ninth in the latest version of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series points battle. Next up for the #2 team will be a trip to the pristine Dirt Track at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. The ‘Circle K Colossal 100’ will be held on Friday and Saturday, March 27-28 at the Charlotte area facility and a $50,000 winner’s check is on the line. The World of Outlaws Late Model Series will sanction all of the weekend festivities at Lowe’s, which will culminate with a 100-lap main event on Saturday evening.
