By-Pass Oil Filter Installations

Submitted by AMSOIL Customer Richard Hoefle
Two 90° elbows were used
on the oil filter plate to get the oil lines straight up to
the filter adapter. I went inside the electrical box and made
a backer plate and the outer plate was mounted through the
electrical box tower and the backer plate for strength. The
oil filter adapter plate was then mounted on the electrical
tower. I put two L-brackets on the sides of the electrical
box just in case I would need to run a piece of stainless
tubing over to the fender well for added strength So far the
weight of the filters have not bothered the electrical tower
at all. With just a little fabrication the system was easy
to install. I am looking forward to my fist oil analysis.
