AMSOIL Dual Remote BMK-16 By-Pass Filter System
Submitted by AMSOIL Dealer Bill Crow
Photos 1 & 2 show the homemade 4” x 8” x 5” wide 1/8" cold-rolled steel bracket. The bracket provided was used for extra support. The home made bracket allowed me to install the unit over the brake cable. I installed the smaller bracket on the other end as a shim and for added support if needed later. An existing hole was used and two other holes had to be drilled.
I just ran the oil lines from the engine filter head over frame and then along the frame to by-pass filter head. I zip-tied and topped it off. Oil line #2 was zip-tied to the truck frame behind the fender shield.
Water insulation tubing was used to eliminate a humming noise that transferred into the cab. Rubber was used were the mount is bolted on to the frame.
