By-Pass Filter System

This system was installed at 7,313
miles. The customer was using HDD 5W-30 with AMSOIL
SDF15 and BE90 filters. Oil capacity was increased
from 4 quarts to about 6 quarts.

90 degree fittings were
used at the adapter spin-on plate due to the low clearance
of the vehicle to the ground.

The lines were then run to the driver’s
side of the car where the filters were mounted with
a custom bracket. Once again, 90 degree fittings were
used. |

The bracket was welded
to the frame just in front of the driver’s front
tire, inside the front-end mask. The filters can easily
be accessed from underneath. |
