“Podiums Rule the Roost for Team Babbitt”
Team AMSOIL rider Darcy Lange grabs four spots on the box

Salem, Ore. ~ It was a successful night of racing in the BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series last weekend for Team Babbitt/AMSOIL out of Michigan.  The Salem, Ore. Event was the second race on the AX series schedule, and the AMSOIL backed riders brought home an impressive four podiums.

On Friday night, AMSOIL rider Darcy Lange held off a hard charging Riley Kurosky to finish second in the 250 main.  He finished off the podium in Fridays’ 450 final.

On Saturday, Team Babbitt continued to assert its dominance on the BooKoo series.  In the 250 main, AMSOIL rider Jeff Northrop took the hole shot and led for five laps.  Lange started slow in seventh, but began charging towards the front.  Brad Ripple had moved around Northrop for the lead, but Ripple went down in a sand section, giving the lead back to Northrop.  That lasted until Lange passed his teammate on the last lap.  Northrop finished second.

In the 450 main, Team Babbitt’s rider Lange started third, then passed the top two riders for the lead with 13 laps remaining.  He would hold off the field for his second win of the night.

After two weekends of racing and two more wins, Lange has increased his series lead to 42 points.  Northrop is showing incredible speed and sits only one point behind second place.  Team Babbitt’s/AMSOIL will be in Yakima, Wash. this weekend for the third round of the BooKoo series.
