AMSOIL Snocross Stars Picked For Winter X Games
Two AMSOIL-sponsored snocross riders have been selected to compete in the 2010 ESPN Winter X Games January 28-31, 2010 in Aspen, Colo. AMSOIL/Scheuring Speed Sports rider Robbie Malinoski will make his debut for the AMSOIL/U.S. Air Force/Makita team at the upcoming event after taking the silver medal for Boss Racing in 2009, while AMSOIL/Judnick Motorsports rider Ross Martin will be looking for better luck in Aspen after a crash in practice at last year’s event caused a broken hip, sidelining the two-time champion for the remainder of the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series.
Malinoski and Martin are two of the first 12 snocross riders picked for the 2010 Winter X Games, which boasts more than 200 of the best action sports athletes in the world. More riders will be chosen as the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series season progresses. The four-day Winter X Games event will be covered live on ESPN’s family of networks, including ABC. |

VanHorn to Pilot AMSOIL Excaliber Monster Truck
Following an exciting weekend in Ohio that saw Jon Zimmer and the AMSOIL Shock Therapy monster truck claim the freestyle victory at the Cincinnati Gardens, the Sudden Impact Racing (SIR) team announced that three-time Monster Jam World Finals competitor Carl VanHorn will return to the team to pilot the AMSOIL Excaliber truck. Drivers Zimmer and VanHorn were teammates previously in 2007, and each driver has won or been near the top of the standings in both racing and freestyle at many shows. This season, they’ll be on some of the biggest stages monster truck racing has to offer, including several televised shows.
"I'm excited to be back with SIR," said VanHorn. "They're one of the best teams in the business. I'm looking forward to driving Excaliber. It's a great truck with a lot of history behind it, and Brandon Lagarde, Tim Bush and Team SIR have given me a great opportunity." |
