St. Louis Action

Toronto, Ontario, Canada
The 13th round of the 2009 AMA Supercross season, and the seventh round of the Lites Eastern Regional Supercross Championship, was held March 28 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Although he didn’t get the start he was looking for in the main event, Team AMSOIL racer Kevin Windham bore down to gain 11 spots and finish a close sixth. In the Lites class, Daniel Blair got off to a strong start in the main event before he was balked by another rider and forced to battle around at the tail end of the top 10. He eventually finished ninth. Teammate Blake Wharton found himself in last place after going down in the rhythm section, but quickly put his head down and charged forward. He finished 10th.

Jacksonville Action Jacksonville, Fla.
The 14th round of the 2009 AMA Supercross season, and the eighth and final round of the Lites Eastern Regional Supercross Championship, was held April 4 at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla. Forced to work his way through the pack the past several races due to poor starts, Team AMSOIL racer Kevin Windham was determined to get off to a quality start and challenge for a podium finish. He did just that, starting the main event in fourth, passing Mike Alessi for third and pulling away from the pack to earn a strong third place podium finish. Windham currently

holds fourth in the overall points standings. In the Lites class, Blake Wharton won his second heat race of the year, but a poor start in the main event forced him to work his way forward. He finished the race in fifth and wraps up his rookie supercross season fourth in the overall points standings, only one point out of third. Teammate Daniel Blair finished the race 11th and finishes the season ninth in the overall points standings.

Round 15 of the AMA Supercross season, including the seventh round of the Lites Western Regional Supercross Championship, will be held Saturday, April 18 at Qwest Stadium in Seattle, Wash.
