Team AMSOIL Snocross Racers Collect Wins and Podiums
The sixth round of the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series was held February 13-14 in Salem, N.H. The Pro Super Stock class saw Team AMSOIL racers out front for the entire race as Team AMSOIL/Scheuring Speedsports racer Robbie Malinoski finished second, Team AMSOIL/Judnick Motorsports racer Ross Martin took third and Team AMSOIL/Scheuring Speedsports racer Andrew Johnstad finished fourth. In the Pro Open class, Martin took hold of the lead on the second lap and never looked back, taking the win, while Johnstad took fifth and Malinoski seventh. Team AMSOIL/Judnick Motorsports semi-pro rider Mike Bauer finished second in the Semi Pro Super Stock class on Friday and followed it up with a win on Saturday.

Team AMSOIL continued its momentum heading into the seventh round of the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series February 20-21 in Sarnia, Ontario, with Team AMSOIL racers Martin, Johnstad and Malinoski racing bar-to-bar at the front of the pack over the first half of the Pro Super Stock final. A rare mishandle by Martin allowed Johnstad and Malinoski to take over second and third behind eventual race winner Tim Trembley, and Johnstad soon pulled away from teammate Malinoski before battling with Emil Ohmen for second. Finishing third, Johnstad earned the first podium of his pro career, while Malinoski finished fifth and Martin ninth. In the Pro Open class, Martin battled with Levi LeValle to the finish and took the win, extending his lead in the overall points standings. Johnstad finished fifth and Malinoski eighth. In the Semi Pro Super Stock class, Bauer took the win on Friday and finished second on Saturday, while Team AMSOIL/Scheuring Speedsports rider Joe Fallen finished second on Friday. |
