APBA’s Highest Annual Racing Award
Team AMSOIL Sweeps ChampBoat Series on Savannah River
Tampa, FL ~ Terry Rinker was selected to receive the APBA’s (American Power Boat Association) highest annual racing award for his accomplishments in the ChampBoat Series for the 2006 season. Terry will be inducted into the APBA “HALL OF CHAMPIONS” in Los Angeles on January 27th 2007.
Induction into APBA “HALL OF CHAMPIONS” is, in most cases, the pinnacle of a driver’s career! Certainly, the #10 AMSOIL/Rinker Boat Company sponsored
team has had a pinnacle season capturing back to back championships and during the first weekend of November in Savannah, Georgia, Terry Rinker set a new UIM Formula One outboard tunnel boat world record for most consecutive victories.
The American Power Boat Association (APBA), founded in 1903, is the sole authority for U.I.M. approved powerboat racing in the United States.
Blackhawk/Rinker Racing crew chief James Chambers, Parks and Recreation Director and resident of Temple Terrace, Florida will accompany Rinker to the awards in Los Angeles. This is Chambers third trip to the “HALL OF CHAMPIONS”, both previous as crew chief for Jack Withrow who was inducted in 1984 and 1992.
