Brady Smith Notches First Two Career World of Outlaws Victories Over the Weekend!

(SOLON SPRINGS, WISCONSIN)  The Brady Smith Racing team competed in the first five events of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series “Wild West Tour” last week and recorded two victories and an additional Top Ten finish!  Brady Smith notched his first two career WOOLMS triumphs on Friday night at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, North Dakota and on Saturday evening at the Estevan Motor Speedway in Saskatchewan, Canada.

At River Cities, Brady ran second in his heat race and later drew the pole position for the $10,000 to win event.  The driver known as “The Prodigy” then took the lead on lap 26 of the 50-lap A-Main and held off Shannon Babb, Shane Clanton, Kelly Boen, and Darrell Lanigan in a thrilling finish to get the win.  A day later at Estevan, Brady qualified well and later finished fifth in his heat race.  After starting from the outside of the seventh row in the main event, the Solon Springs, Wisconsin native passed thirteen cars on his way to the front to defeat Darrell Lanigan, Steve Francis, Clint Smith, and Al Purkey for another $10,000 victory.

“Our AMSOIL team had a tremendous weekend with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and it feels awesome to have finally broken into victory lane against those guys,” stated Smith this week.  “The drivers that follow the Outlaws tour are the best in the business, so anytime you can win a race against them, much less two in a row, that is really something special.  Our car performed great at both River Cities and Estevan and I can’t thank my crew, family, and sponsors enough for all of their support and dedication.  Hopefully, we can keep the momentum rolling heading into all of the big money races at the end of the year!”

The #2 team is scheduled to take the July 18-19 weekend off from Dirt Late Model competition, as they will be present at the AMSOIL 35th Anniversary Convention this week.  Brady will next wheel his AMSOIL / Big Red Motorsports / Mid-States Equipment and Hydraulics #2 Bloomquist / Vic Hill entry in three more World of Outlaws Late Model Series shows from July 24-26 in the Buckeye State of Ohio.  He will compete at the Muskingum County Speedway (July 24), the Eldora Speedway (July 25), and the Sharon Speedway (July 26).  More information on these three races can be found online at www.worldofoutlaws.com.
