AMK-01 Install on a 2004 5.3L Chevy Suburban

The following install took place at Don Gaudette’s Goodyear in Bloomington. The cost of the install was $150 and took around 2 hours.
We chose to place the unit on top of the front stabilizer bar. To do this we had to remove the plastic cover that goes between the bar and the radiator.
I asked the mechanic if that was going to be a big problem for changing the oil filters in the future. He told me that the cover is affixed with 5 Phillips head screws and that the filters could be removed easily even if the vehicle was sitting on the ground instead of up on a lift.
The oil filters are mounted horizontally, which is an acceptable angle for the BMK-13 Dual Remote By-Pass system. Any orientation of the AMS-Oiler (AMK-01) will work with no decreased function.
A modified banjo bolt was used to add a petcock valve to the assembly to allow for easy oil sampling.
The wiring was tied in at the fuse box and the circuit. The buzzer was mounted on the fan shroud.

The oil was changed and replaced with AMSOIL 100% Synthetic 5W-30.
