About East Coast Snocross
East Coast Snocross (formerly known as Rock Maple Racing (RMR)) is a sanctioning body for snocross racing with a home office located in Cheshire, CT. While the RMR circuit served the needs of racers and fans for many years, the new ECS represents a fresh start and new energy for snowmobile racing in the northeast. The snocross season runs from early December through the first weekend in April.
The ECS season includes nine races stretching the East Coast from Vermont into Quebec and down into New York. Expanding to new venues, ECS hopes to bring snocross to new faces while still entertaining its core fans at key sites.
A sampling of sites for ECS's series includes the beautiful Burke Mountain Ski Resort in East Burke, Vermont; the Crete Civic Center in Plattsburg, New York; historic Rockingham Park in Salem, New Hampshire; the Fire Department in Ossipee, New Hampshire. ECS will also compete in conjunction with Marcel Fontaine’s SCM circuit in Mirabel, Quebec. Then teams and officials from ECS will join the International Series of Champions (ISOC) at the Eastern Nationals in Farmington, New York; and closes out the season at the historic Pico Mountain ski area in Killington, Vermont.

There are classes for all ages and ability level within East Coast Snocross. The breakdown for the six basic divisions is as follows; Pro, Semi-Pro, Sport, Trail, Junior and Women. There is also a separate program for children age’s four to 10 who compete on 120cc machines.

Each week, hundreds of race teams from around the northeast converge at the scheduled race site; anxious to do battle for race wins, trophies and valuable points towards the year-end championships.
From its infancy in the winter of 1991-92, RMR exceeded all expectations in the snocross world. The winter of 2010-11 marks new owner Bob Roscoe’s first year and the inaugural season for East Coast Snocross. Roscoe expects to reach new heights with ECS in the future, as well.
A dedicated PR effort over the years has brought increased media coverage to the sport, exposing snocross to more people who may not have been aware of it in the past. From a little-known sport to a highly-popular and rapidly-growing phenomenon, this transformation which snocross racing has enjoyed in the northeastern United States has been made possible in part by the efforts of East Coast Snocross.
