AMSOIL Synthetic Water Resistant Grease is an extreme-pressure
grease formulated specially for wet-duty performance. Composed of
premium-quality synthetic base oils and calcium sulfonate complex
thickeners, Water Resistant Grease provides exceptional film strength,
shear resistance, adhesion properties and mechanical stability. Its water
washout and sprayoff resistance are outstanding for applications
frequently exposed to water, mud, snow or ice, including ATVs, UTVs,
snowmobiles and boat trailers.
Water Washout and Sprayoff Protection
AMSOIL Synthetic Water Resistant Grease gains its wet-duty performance from its
superior cohesiveness and adhesiveness. It holds together when exposed to water
and clings tenaciously to metal surfaces when wet. Components remain protected
during prolonged exposure to standing or pressurized water.
AMSOIL Synthetic Water Resistant Grease protects metal surfaces from corrosion,
which may be worsened by frequent or prolonged water contact. It seals metal
surfaces and chemically fights corrosion.
Load-Carrying and Extreme-Pressure Performance
AMSOIL Synthetic Water Resistant Grease protects components from metal-to-metal
contact even under heavy loads. Its extreme-pressure additives protect against sustained
or sudden extreme loads for dependable protection against wear.
AMSOIL Synthetic Water Resistant Grease meets the highest performance standards
set by the National Lubrication Grease Institute (NLGI), GC for wheel bearing applications
and LB for chassis applications. It may be used in automotive wheel bearings,
chassis or other applications for which an NLGI No. 2 GC or LB grease is recommended.
Its unique water-resistant formulation makes it ideal for use in components
or equipment with frequent or prolonged water exposure.
AMSOIL Synthetic Water-Resistant Grease is compatible with many other types of
greases. However, it is recommended that when changing greases, the equipment
be cleaned of the old grease when possible or flushed with a liberal amount of
Water-Resistant Grease while the mechanism is in operation. Closely monitor the system
for any inconsistencies. Grease compatibility questions should be referred to your
AMSOIL representative or AMSOIL INC.
Maintaining a clean work environment is important when
equipment greasing is performed. Wipe grease fittings clean
prior to injecting grease to prevent contaminant ingestion.
Maintain bearing housings one-third to one-half full of grease.
Do not over-grease, as excessive heat buildup can result.
Supplement standard grease maintenance by periodically
cleaning and packing housings with fresh grease on an
established maintenance schedule.
