Bobcat Racing began to use the Series
2000 racing oil on a trial basis in 1999 and immediately noticed a clear
difference from the other brands. "We became concerned after
the 1998 season when the bearings showed excessive wear after a couple
of warmer days of racing. Also, it's cool down times between rounds
became a concern." AMSOIL Dealer Todd Aune was quick to offer
sound advice. Since switching we have had faster ETs and a cooler
running engine. At the end of the season we hurt a rod and piston.
Upon inspection, the motor looked great and my engine builder could
clearly see that the cylinder walls were staying much cooler. He used
the same rings and bearings during re-assembly because they were in
such good shape. The car has responded well from the power shift
transmission fluid, coolant, gear lube, and the Series 2000 racing grease.
I could tell that Todd had done in-depth
studying, reading, and research. Many people do not realize the importance
of researching the facts. Many trust just in company advertisements
that are only intended for a fast sale. Many are mislead by false
information. I will never forget the first words he said to me,
"Why do people put ninety-nine cent oil in motors worth thousands
of dollars?!" In this case you do get what you pay for with
AMSOIL. Soon after, Todd and I began to talk of how we could help
one another. He had a unique product and I had a unique car.
Working together is what it is all about.
Additionally unique was the ability
to send in an oil sample and have it analyzed to monitor exactly how
every part is wearing inside the motor. We also saved money by
knowing that the oil did not need to be changed. This is great
for any vehicle, not to mention the protection factor from the synthetic
oil. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Todd for his
support. Without it, we could not compete at the level we do. |
