Systems and Energy/Kimnach Ford/Tidewater Interior Products/ Towne
Bank/Imo Grading driven by Joe Gaita won the first USAR Hooters
ProCup race of the 2003 season.
The Naturally Fresh Foods 250 was run at USA International
Speedway. AMSOIL Dealer Ray Peszko has worked closely with the
team for years and was as excited had he been in the driver seat
himself. Gaita placed second on this track last November. "What
a great feeling," said Gaita. "We felt after our strong
finish here last November,we could have a chance tonight and it
worked out for us." The race was delayed for three hours
because of rain. Gaita said after the race the pit strategy to
save tires late in the race paid off. A late caution flag allowed
for a tire change in time for a dash to the finish.
