| The "Lady Butterfly" is owned by John A. Mann of East Canton, Ohio. This beautiful yellow 1974 Kenworth
is powered by a V-12 Detroit Diesel with twin turbo-chargers, and
has an Allison automatic transmission. She has been one of the most
consistent trucks in the Big Rig Pulling Series of the past five
years. In 1999, she finished second in the nation; in 2000 she was
third; and last year she finished in fifth place. John was hurt
three years ago when he slipped on the ice. He was unable to drive,
so he turned the wheel over to his son, Dave. The serious spine/neck
surgery was performed in March 2001, and John returned to driving
to finish out the 2001 season.

July 2000--she
was awarded the "Best Engineered Vehicle of the Show"
by the ESPN2 crew in Danville, KY at the ATPA Grand American out
of a field of 230 competitors.
September
2001--she received "The Best Appearing Truck" award
given by the producers of the TV special which aired on Speed
Vision in January 2002.
