Live Oak Tool and Equipment Rental, Inc. in Merritt, NC is a small company which became an AMSOIL Retail on the Shelf account under AMSOIL Dealer Chip Hayes. The owner, Kent Holde, is using the 10W-40 (AMO) oil in his newer tractors including an Allmand backhoe, model TLB-20, with a Robin 22 hp air-cooled engine. The Backhoe was rented out last fall and was returned in extremely poor condition. The renter had used it till it quit and returned it with all four tires flat and the cowling around the cooling fan badly damaged. The fan inside the cowling was totally destroyed because the engine had been run with something stuck in the cowling.

Kent cleaned up the engine, replacing the cowling and the fan and repaired the tires. Much to his surprise and delight, the engine started and ran with no other repairs. He is convinced that AMSOIL was the only reason the tractor was not destroyed. As he says, "Air cooled engines, especially small hard working engines, just don't last without any cooling air." This un-planned demonstration convinced him that AMSOIL is the best on the market.
