When Bob Ott Drag Racing switched to AMSOIL in our 540 cubic inch Chevy engine, our dragster went 2 tenths faster in the quarter mile. With 540 cubic inches, engine temperature tends to run high, but after switching to AMSOIL it ran about 10° cooler. That can only mean one thing, less friction. After running all season with no engine failure we tore down the engine and checked all of the engine bearings and saw almost no wear. AMSOIL definitely performs at the level we need it to in order to be competitive.
