St. John Racing Achieves Success With AMSOIL Products

During the 2000-2001 racing seasons AMSOIL Dealer Herman Wood, Indianapolis, IN, worked with St. John Racing in a local truck series. Tommy St. John was a rookie truck builder and chief mechanic and Tommy St. John II was a rookie driver.

2001 Season
Had three feature wins and numerous trophy dash and heat wins. Ended up 5th place overall out of 54 trucks competing. Received the Best Appearing Truck Award for second consecutive year.

2000 Season
During the early part of the season, they struggled to get a handle on the truck, but the last half of the season was dynamite. In the early going they had trouble getting the chassis set up and had problems with the transmission. They switched to AMSOIL Automatic Transmission Fluid and the last half of the season was great. During the last race of the season Tommy II set a new track record, only to see the last truck to qualify break his record. Tommy II finished 3rd in rookie points and 6th overall in the season points.

With all the problems they had in the first half of the season, they still had a great season. They used AMSOIL grease, gear lube, and transmission fluid last season, but this year they are going bumper to bumper with AMSOIL. Tommy and Tommy II say thanks to AMSOIL for some great products.
