Showing Off: 2019 SEMA
The first SEMA show took place in Los Angeles in 1967 with about 100 booth displays. It was borne from the desire of a small group of manufacturers to implement standards into the motorsports industry and improve the overall market for businesses and consumers alike.
It has since grown into a massive Las Vegas production, hosting more than 2,000 exhibiting companies annually and connecting all facets of the specialty equipment market.
This year, our friends Randy and Sydney Weaver of Weaver Customs had their superb 1959 Apache-D on display in the AMSOIL booth. No strangers to SEMA and the grind that goes into preparing for a show of this magnitude, they once again pulled off a stunner in a sea of eye candy.
The Weaver’s custom-built hot rods have launched an entire enterprise that consistently lands them awards, accolades and high-profile show appearances. Their passion and enthusiasm for a job well done is apparent in every aspect of their builds.
