After researching and watching “The Motor Oil Geek”, in which ~40 oils were reviewed, the Amsoil 5W30 diesel Dexos II was the clear winner. I use this in my 2025 GMC Denali XL Ultimate with the 3.0L Duramax. As a former engine development engineer for a major equip mfg I’ve studied, reviewed thousands of oil analysis reports and have a lot of experience a with oils, their additive packages and lubrication systems. My Caterpillar SOS (oil analysis) shows the Amsoil 5W30 retained 11.3 cst@100C after 5000 miles whereas the GM 0W20 oil was at 8.2 cst@100C. I will continue to monitor ever 5000 miles.
Start up idle - silky smooth, normal operating - oil pressure is maybe 1-2 psi higher than factory oil. I’m planning on 200,000 miles in 10 years with a perfect engine!
My Riad sling has 202000km and I’ve used AMS oil since it had 10,000km. engine loves it. Never touched a bolt on Eng or trans

I have been running Amsoil V-Twin 20W-50 in my Harleys for the last 20 years. Never had an issue and gives me peace of mind having it in the bike, current bike is at 76K miles. I still change fluids every 5K even though it supports longer intervals. I tend to make a lot of short trips so I change it more often.

I run this in all my Harley Davidson's. It keeps the motors cooler and smoother. I am assured that it will keep everything lubricated and surpass any bearing test.
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Love the product. I ordered once and missed out on the free hat offer. Maybe next time
This is the best on the market for my Harley Trike. I wouldn’t buy anything else

Oily Review

I'm tired of paying the high price for oil through HD. I searched and found several BLOGS in regard to AMSOIL vs HD OIL (20W-50) It's much cheaper than the HD oil and the research shows that AMSOIL is equally as good as the HD oil IF NOT better...!!!! I want the best bang for my buck....so I tired the AMSOIL 20W-50 on a trip to STURGIS.. I thought the AMSOIL performed well. Avg temp was around 88-93... My bike burned "0" oil in 1750 miles. Pretty much sold me on what I will be using from now on. Only issue was when riding the "Iron Mountain" and "Needles".... clutch got a bit sloppy..... I will have a local dealership look at that.

First off I wish I could submit pics with this review. I change my oil all 3 holes once a year and its well over 10k miles. Everytime I change my oil it still comes out clear. Engine runs cooler and saves fuel.
