This is all I've ever used in my Harley Sportster XL883. I have an original Harley-Davidson thermometer oil tank drain cap/dipstick which I've tested for accuracy by putting it into boiling water, so I know it is good. All I have to do to check the engine oil temperature is slide back on my seat a few inches and look straight down. I always check the temperature right after getting off the interstate because this is my maximum temperature condition and it has never gone over 220 degrees F. The rest of the time, the operating temperature at speeds less than 60 mph never exceeds 200 degrees F. These temperatures are lower than most of the Sportster riders on all of the Harley forums.
The bike always starts with no problems in the winter when I ride in temperatures in the 50's. My bike has a carb and all I have to do is use the choke to start it and let it warm up until I see my dipstick reach 100 degrees F. Once underway, no problems.
My XL883 has lower gears than the big twins and runs at higher rpm's, and it has never used any oil in its 10K mile oil change intervals.
I also use this in my primary - again, different from the big twins - and the transmission never misses a gear when shifting (straight cut gears), nor does the clutch slip or "chirp" on take-off. Yes, the familiar "clunk" is there when putting it into first gear but that's a Harley signature for some reason.
I've never tried another brand of V-twin oil because I haven't needed to. I recommend this very highly.
I had a '16 Springfield for a while and totaled it hitting a deer at 70mph. I bought a new to me '16 Springfield with only 6k miles on it that had always had Indian oil and filter. I changed it for the AMSOIL and everything is quieter and smoother. Didn't realize how much of a difference it really made until riding a few thousand miles on the old oil and switching.
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

MY BUDDIES & I ALL USE THE AMSOIL VTWIN 20W50 IN OUR BIKES. I HAVE A 2018 ROADGLIDE SPECIAL AND IT LIKES IT. HAVE ALWAYS USED IT. HAD A YAMAHA RAIDER AND USED IT IN IT AS WELL. 2 THUMBS UP. ALSO USE THE PRIMARY AND TRANSMISSION AMSOIL MADE FOR THE BIKE.
Does it get any better then this? I'm guessing not. Started using the 20/50 product in my 103" Harley motor, primary and tranny after the 1,000 mile service in 2011. After 30K miles we tore into the motor just to make sure everything was on the up and up there was no mentionable wear. (On the crank/cam chain tensioner that's saying something, we replaced it anyhow just we had bought it as per Harley recommendation and to make sure the spring wasn't worn out). I've been using the oil exclusively on all my bikes ever since with one less thing to worry about while motorcycling.
I handle about 30-35 cases annually. It is my default lube when doing service. Customer asks by name. No doubt, THE best synthetic v-twin engine oil available anywhere
Have used this oil in my bike since 2013. It allows me to confidently change my fluids only once a year.
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Big motorcycle engines produce a LOT of heat, and Amsoil oil helps reduce that heat as well as standing up to the heat and provides engine protection in the most adverse conditions.

First time using Amsoil in my Road King. Trying it in all three holes as suggested. So far so good. Finding neutral much easier now. I'll let you know what it looks and feels like after the next change.
