    ? Sludge buildup in the filter

    I noticed the filter is quite heavy compared to the new one. Could this be sludge? I will eventually cut the filter open. If you could suggest the best way to do this. I am concerned about metal slivers getting inside not allowing me to validating it.

    A good oil needs a good oil filter

    Using it for the first time. Previously used a top brand oil filter that is 99% effective at >30 microns. The Amsoil is a bit better at 99% at >20 microns. I want the better protection. I like the grippy textured surface. Using it with 0W-16 Signature Series oil.

    I trust the Amsoil filters with synthetic media flow characteristics and the back flow valve design. It's as good as the best.

    Along with the Amsoil Diesel oil, these are the only filters I use on my truck. After 300K miles on the engine, it runs like new.

    Buddy of mine had to replace the engine in his 2016 F150 , after discussing Amsoil with him he decided to give it a try. Engine is still in the "breaking in stage" so another review will come later.

    Seems to have better oil pressure with this filter. Along side AMSOIL oil I’ve noticed a huge improvement.
