I recently switched to this oil in my 4.6L f150. This truck has 106,100 miles on it. It's had motorcraft synthetic blend changed every 3k-5k miles with a fl-820 filter since new. Immediately after switching to this oil the engine developed some cold start and low RPM knocking. I believe this is due to the timing chain tensioners and or guides? The tensioners rely on oil pressure to keep the chains tensioned. So either the motorcraft was hiding a mechanical issue or this 5w20 isn't of similar viscosity to the motorcraft? Oil sample will be sent to blackstone at 3k miles. Still using the motorcraft fl-820 filter with this product. I cannot recommend this product until I have more info.

Used this product for my 2008 350z Roadster, this is the second go runaround with this product. I have noticed my engine runs smother and idles better (66,100 plus miles). I used other brands of synthetic oils on my prior vehicles (Mobil1, Royal Purple, Castrol) but by far I am the most satisfied with Amsoil. I want to use the best product available and so far this is the best to me until otherwise. I have not performed any lab test or chemical analysis but real life driving. Also I need to mention better gas mileage, how I know I am getting better gas mileage? I know because I do not fill my tank as often (i use Premium that is what Nissan requires for maximum performance) I wish Amsoil had a high-performance filter like K&N or aFE, I would buy it too

I use XL motor oil in all of my automobiles. I have have exemplary luck using Amsoil products. I use them in my vehicles, Harley, snowmobiles, boats and all small engines. 2 stroke and 4 stroke engines. Works great each and every time.

I have used this oil since I purchased the car new. I have over 125,000 on it now. I change the oil every 6 months in which time I put between 9,000 and 11,000 miles on it. In that mileage I have never had to add more than 1/2 qts of oil.

I was a loyal customer of 30 years after my drag VW had a bearing improperly placed during assembly. The engine ran perfectly. And only gave a problem after several pulls. On break down the crank was perfect. Only bearing replacement was required. The builder was apologetic but couldn't believe the protection provided by Amsoil. The raptor happily drinks 10-30 now.

I increased my fuel milage by 50 kms per tank. Oil is half clean at oil change time.

I have a 2004 Mustang GT and have loved it since the day I got it way back in 2006. Because I plan to keep it, I try to keep it in top shape just like you would... and not cut corners. I go out of my way for the best possible quality in the products I use to keep it looking good but also running even better. It's up in mileage so this is one reason why I switched to a full synthetic oil for the engine. I wasn't familiar with AMSoil but once I was introduced it's all i use now. But like I said earlier, I go out of my way to find the best quality for the price. I've been pleased with this oil more than any other I've used for the past 11 years.

I use it in my 2007 Silverado Classic 4.3. I beat the snot out of my truck and I can tell this oil lasts much longer than the regular so-called synthetics. Not only do I get better mileage but the truck burns less oil when compared to the mobil 1 that I used for years.

What been using Amsoil products for a couple of years. Every one has been top quality. I will never use anything else.

I use this oil in my Ram 1500 Hemi. Works as described. Amsoil is the only oil I use in all gasoline and diesel engines I own. Not one oil related problem in 25 years. Not even an oil leak!

I've been using Amsoil for the last 250,000 miles of driving between my current and prior car. I just wish I'd discovered it sooner. When I first switched to it, I kept careful MPG records and found that the increase in mileage with Amsoil more than offset the higher cost of the synthetic usage. What's more important, oil consumption in both cars between oil changes (6,000 miles on average, which I arrived at as a time for changes based on lab analysis of the used oil) has been zero, even when my last car was up at 200,000+ miles.

I bought a 2005 GMC Serra 1500 new in November 2004. I have used XL5-30 and wix oil filter ever sense the first oil change. It now has 183000 miles on it and other than a set of spark plugs (it's due for another) the motor has been untouched and runs great dose not use but half a quart of oil between oil changes (every six months). I also have changed the transmission fluid twice and used am soil transmission fluid and wix filter and the fluid is always nice and red and no transmission problems. My 1996 Harley Davidson electraglide has been running on 20-50 V-twin oil in the motor, tranny, and primary for years again no problems great stuff !

I love the AMSOIL products. Better protection and better mileage.

Been using Amsoil for over 30 years on my 2 cars and my son's and daughter's cars and never had a oil related failure.

I like amsoil because it's been tested and proven. It's nice knowing amsoil there protecting my SUV.
