This product was just used on my wife's new black Tucson. Honestly, the finish looks better than new after she polished her vehicle with this spray. And if it's actually protecting the finish, then all the better.

I wanted to like the AMSOIL Exterior Ceramic Spray because AMSOIL has built a reputation over decades for producing premium, high-performance products. Unfortunately, this ceramic spray felt more like a “category filler” product than something engineered to truly lead the market. Compared to other detailing products I’ve used — especially products like Nexgen — the AMSOIL Exterior Ceramic Spray feels noticeably weak in both application feel and perceived protection. The formula wipes on and off so effortlessly that it almost feels like there is very little silicon dioxide (SiO2) or active ceramic content actually bonding to the surface. With stronger ceramic sprays, you typically feel a certain amount of grab, slickness, curing behavior, or noticeable coating presence during application. This product lacked that entirely. The end result was underwhelming durability, less gloss depth than expected, and very little confidence that meaningful long-term protection was being left behind on the paint. What disappoints me most is that AMSOIL is not a budget brand. People buy AMSOIL products expecting industry-leading engineering and top-tier performance. When a company with that reputation releases a product that merely checks a marketing box instead of genuinely competing at the highest level, it can slowly dilute the trust customers place in the brand as a whole. In highly competitive categories like ceramic detailing products, consumers today have too many excellent alternatives available for a “good enough” product to stand out. I believe AMSOIL would have been better served either creating a truly elite ceramic spray or not entering the category until they had something exceptional. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this product simply did not live up to the AMSOIL name or the standards many longtime customers have come to expect.

Amsoil’s ceramic spray is the best coating I have ever used on my autos and motorcycle. Easy on mist and wipe off. No dust, just long lasting shine and paint protection.

Great product I use it for a drying aid and then apply it to a dry cerface ,works great for me as a winter quick detailing highly recommend it for everyone

This ceramic coating created a very water repellent surface but I could only use it on three cars. Products I’ve used in the past give me at least 4 & in some cases 5 uses.
