    Great filter BUT

    Love this filter and use them on every product i have that use a oil filter. Extended change intervals are great never a need to change oil in the dead of winter. The only reason I'm giving this product 3 stars is the new coating on the exterior of the can. The old design had a rubber grip at the base great for taking them off with a oily hand. The new texture is nice for putting them on but my jeep in particular is in a very difficult area to access and after the extended run time the filter becomes difficult to get loose. Requiring a strap filter wrench to break it free. Well that lovely new texture completely covering the can will not let the strap wrench grab the can. My last oil change i ended up smashing my finger from the wrench slipping on the can and ramming it on the lower engine block. And no it's not over tightened when installed the filter location on the jeep must run warm/ hot causing the filters to fuse to the engine. This is with following directions for tightening the filter and coating the gasket with oil before installing. The new coating is the only reason this filter gets 3 stars.

    Filter was for daughter-in-law’s van oil change. Great product at a great price. Buy all my oil change products from Amsoil!

    I went with is this filter because it’s the only one that filter 99 percent at 20 microns. I believe it’s doing it’s job combined with the Amsoil signature series oil.
