Acquired a brushhog to use with my tractor. While using it I noticed a smell of oil. and after checking fluid level noticed it was down more than it should be. Looked under it and noticed the oil from the center shaft. Needing to finish cutting I put some 90 weight in and continued on. Tried to find a shaft seal to replace it and found that the particular gearbox was designed to run 250 weight. When the SAE250 Severe Gear I ordered came in I filled it up and started working. 5 days of cutting and no leak from the shaft. Amazing what happens when you use the correct oil.

Does what it needs to do. Good for extreme duty.

used this in a 2016 TRD 4x4 Tundra 5.7 Supercharged 100,000 miles on the motor There are a number of other things I have done to the Engine,Exhaust, suppression. I have used other Amsoil product in the gear box on my 2016 Tundra with no problem. I just wanted to try the new SAE 250 I also used this product in my transfer case. The one thing I noticed is both front & Rear differential along with the Transfer case are a lot quitter. And by the way anything the gear grease touch it won't come off. Thank you Amsoil

I've used Amsoil Severe Gear in race cars for a long time and have never had a failure due to lubrication (and believe that this product has actually made differentials last longer than standard lubes would have). So, when the differential in my Kia Sorento began humming a tune I figured that Severe Gear might help make the costly repair a little further off in the future. It's been a couple of months now and the noise had dramatically diminished. I'm confident that my differential's life has been extended...maybe even saved.

I bought this to use in my paramotor gearbox and it really has made a huge difference. This is an amazing oil IMHO.

We switched to this oil at the recommendation of other pro off road racers. We've got confidence it'll extend the life of our ring and pinions under racing conditions!

I am using this in my 79 Corvette differential. This is a Drag Race Car and I accelerate very quickly from the line. I am noticing no noise or excessive wear so far. Would highly recommend this product.
