I did a full transmission draining change. Not knowing that I needed a total of 18 quarts I only ordered 1 gallon which equals 4 quarts. However, when I put those 4 quarts in there, I noticed the huge difference in my transmission without even putting the other 14 quarts in there. Now I’m ordering four more gallons.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Best, high torque trans fluid

I used torque drive for the first time in my 2005 GMC Duramax diesel with a Allison 1000 transmission. It's back 7 years ago and it works superbly for 40,000 MI and then it needed to be changed again. So I bought the same thing from amsoil torque drive and put it in again. Hopefully I can get another 40,000 mi out of it

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I use this oil exclusively in my boats transmissions for years. I just completed a 6,000 nautical trip and had no concerns. In addition, I do oil analysis regularly and it always comes back showing no wear.

Quiet operation

Used this fluid in my boat trans(velvet 1:1 drive). It smoothed the engagement a bit as well as quieted the operation. Very pleased with it!
Been using this fluid in multiple different vehicles including a built Alison 1000 pushing 700hp, was a little worried because some professional trans builders did not recommend ams ATF for being to slick. But the shifts are very smooth crisp, just make sure you do a relearn to compensate. Have over 10,000 miles and pulling strong. Love it.

"TRUST" is the word I use to describe what I feel when I jump into my mechanics rig! Crisp shifts, temp gauge is 50-70 degrees cooler now, and is quieter than before. Love it!
I am slowly swapping over to all Amsoil but so far I am liking it. My 2008 Duramax seems to run smoother now.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Best Allison Fluid

This is not the first time I’ve used Amsoil product. I use all their signature series engine oils and gear oils. I have noticed nothing but quieter operation, better economy, and smoothness. I have now drained all the of GM- Dexron ATF from my Allison 1000 and replaced it with Amsoil Torque Drive. Since switching I have had smoother shifting and better economy on top of cooler temps (but I added a maghytec extended capacity trans pan).
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Changed about a third of my 03 f150's transmission fluid when changing the filter, saw much smoother shifting afterwards
We use this in our Allison 3000 and 2000 series medium duty trucks. The price is better than msrp at the dealer and we like amsoil products .

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

2013 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Duramax Allison 1000 6 sp. 43,000 miles. 2nd owner. Shifts much smoother, seems quieter, and runs about 10 degrees cooler. Not sure if the original owner ever had the fluid changed on his baby but it’s a great peace of mind running Torque Drive in my Allison.
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Torque Drive

I run both my trucks on Amsoil products. I recently purchased a used Duramax to pull my fifth wheel camper. Not knowing recent maintenance intervals, I decided to do a full Amsoil change over. Reading blogs about what fluid to run in an Allison transmission is quite entertaining and controversial. Amsoil has always done me well, so I decided to go with the Torque Drive. My transmission shifts are unnoticeable when not pulling and firm and crisp while pulling my trailer in tow/haul mode. I was really considering having my transmission rebuilt, but now it is working so flawlessly, I’m going to keep running it as is.
I’ve used this for years with no problem or failure. Good results in my Allison 1000 on a 2006 Lbz!

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I’ve used this for years in my CTSV manual transmission and especially works great for a slightly worn transmission. Made it shift like new. Great protection for the track and strip never had an issue. 10 years strong.

Torque-Drive in my Allison Transmission

The dealership had serviced my Allison Transmission at about the 100K km mark. They had used Dextron VI GM transmission oil. That oil was in service for about 90K km.
I was noticing that the transmission operating temp was running much higher than I was accustomed to. Even after cleaning the transmission oil cooler. When towing it got up to 93° C or higher. Not towing it would get up to 75°C.
With Torque- Drive, which is the correct oil for the Allison. The oil temperature barely gets over 30°C when not towing. Which is how it operated when the transmission was new.
I’m looking forward the pulling my large fifth wheel. The transmission should be worry free.
