AMSOIL Synthetic Water-Resistant Grease is an extreme-pressure
grease formulated specially for wet-duty performance. Composed of
premium-quality synthetic base oils and calcium-sulfonate complex
thickeners, Water-Resistant Grease provides exceptional film strength,
shear resistance, adhesion properties and mechanical stability. Its
water-washout and sprayoff resistance are outstanding for applications
frequently exposed to water, mud, snow or ice, including ATVs, UTVs,
snowmobiles and boat trailers.
Water-Washout and Sprayoff Protection
The superior wet-duty performance of AMSOIL Synthetic Water-Resistant Grease is
formulated with extra durable cohesive and adhesive chemistry. It holds together when
exposed to water and clings tenaciously to metal surfaces when wet, protecting components
during prolonged exposure to standing or pressurized water.
Frequent or prolonged water contact can increase corrosion, resulting in damage to
metal surfaces and compromised components. Water-Resistant Grease seals metal
surfaces and chemically fights corrosion, making it ideal for applications with extensive
exposure to water, mud, snow or ice.
Load-Carrying and Extreme-Pressure Performance
AMSOIL Synthetic Water-Resistant Grease protects components from metal-to-metal
contact even under heavy loads. Its extreme-pressure additives protect against sustained
or sudden extreme loads for dependable protection against wear.
AMSOIL Synthetic Water-Resistant Grease meets the highest performance standards
set by the National Lubrication Grease Institute (NLGI) for wheel bearing applications
(GC) and chassis applications (LB). It may be used in automotive wheel bearings,
chassis or other applications for which an NLGI #2 GC or LB grease is recommended.
Maintaining a clean work environment is important when
equipment greasing is performed. Wipe grease fittings clean
prior to injecting grease to prevent contaminant ingestion.
Maintain bearing housings one-third to one-half full of grease.
Do not over-grease, as excessive heat buildup can result.
Supplement standard grease maintenance by cleaning
and packing housings with fresh grease on an established
AMSOIL PRODUCT AVAILABILITY
AMSOIL Synthetic Water-Resistant Grease is available in 3-oz.
cartridges, 14-oz. cartridges, 35-lb. lugs and 120-lb. kegs.
AMSOIL Synthetic Water-Resistant Grease is compatible with
many other types of greases. However, it is recommended
that, when changing greases, the equipment be cleaned of the
old grease when possible or flushed with a liberal amount of
Water-Resistant Grease while the mechanism is in operation.
Closely monitor the system for any inconsistencies. Grease
compatibility questions should be referred to your AMSOIL
representative or AMSOIL INC.
