• Product Overview

  AMSOIL Slip Lock Differential Additive is formulated for use with both synthetic and petroleum gear lubricants and safely replaces manufacturer-recommended friction modifiers. Its convenient squeeze-tube packaging provides quick and easy application to the gear housing. One four-ounce tube of Slip Lock treats differential capacities of two to four quarts. It is not for use in automatic transmissions or other applications requiring automatic transmission fluid.

  NOTE: AMSOIL synthetic gear lubes do not require this additive. However, not all differentials respond the same and the addition of AMSOIL Slip Lock will eliminate chatter in mechanically sound differentials.

    Had to buy this additive as specified by mopar when changing rear differential gear oil so clutch packs function as intended. One tube is more than enough for the rear.

    This is the deal I ordered Severe Gear 75w/140 for my rear diff although sever gear comes with slip lock already added. Some have had problems with the limited slip binding in tight maneuvering so I ordered slip lock just in case of a problem. With that being said I have not had any problems/issues with diff

    Added this to the severe gear in my Dakota seems to be working great I definitely feel less resistance from my differentials
