Directions for Ceramic Spray
- Clean vehicle with AMSOIL High-Foam Car Shampoo.
- Ensure your vehicle is parked in a cool, shaded area to ensure AMSOIL Ceramic Spray properly adheres to vehicle surface.
- To avoid damaging painted surfaces, ensure surface is free of dirt and debris.
- Working from the top down, apply and wipe away with a high-quality microfiber towel (over saturation can lead to streaking, replace as necessary).

Disappointing performance from a trusted brandBy MARK, a Verified Buyer from Texas on June 12, 2026I wanted to like the AMSOIL Exterior Ceramic Spray because AMSOIL has built a reputation over decades for producing premium, high-performance products. Unfortunately, this ceramic spray felt more like a “category filler” product than something engineered to truly lead the market. Compared to other detailing products I’ve used — especially products like Nexgen — the AMSOIL Exterior Ceramic Spray feels noticeably weak in both application feel and perceived protection. The formula wipes on and off so effortlessly that it almost feels like there is very little silicon dioxide (SiO2) or active ceramic content actually bonding to the surface. With stronger ceramic sprays, you typically feel a certain amount of grab, slickness, curing behavior, or noticeable coating presence during application. This product lacked that entirely. The end result was underwhelming durability, less gloss depth than expected, and very little confidence that meaningful long-term protection was being left behind on the paint. What disappoints me most is that AMSOIL is not a budget brand. People buy AMSOIL products expecting industry-leading engineering and top-tier performance. When a company with that reputation releases a product that merely checks a marketing box instead of genuinely competing at the highest level, it can slowly dilute the trust customers place in the brand as a whole. In highly competitive categories like ceramic detailing products, consumers today have too many excellent alternatives available for a “good enough” product to stand out. I believe AMSOIL would have been better served either creating a truly elite ceramic spray or not entering the category until they had something exceptional. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this product simply did not live up to the AMSOIL name or the standards many longtime customers have come to expect.Bottom LineNo, I would not recommend this to a friend.Was this review helpful?
