A great oil filter comes down to total filter surface area and the maximum particle size allowed to pass through the filter. Amsoil is the best when looked at in this persoective

Seems to be good quality oil. I’ve used soil in my motorcycle several times.

Does everything the MOPAR filter does and adds the benefit of not leaking down and having better seals.

This is the only filter I use with my Amsoil oil change because it gives my car 15,000 miles of protection!

Filter has an internal cage, and mesh backing on the media. Which all other filters don't have, including AC Delco. This prevents the filter from collapsing like all the rest. Superior build quality for the GM 1.6L diesel engines, not just an AMSOIL name slapped on a box. Only filter ill buy for that engine!

When using the best oil on the market, it stands to reason to use the best filter too. I will always use AMSoil filters when available. However, that is my only complaint, availability. Sometimes they just don’t have what I’m looking for.

seems to keep the oil cleaner than others I've used.

I have used these filters as well as the marine 10W-30 motor oil for years. The outboard motor runs great and no oil consumption.
