Smoothing Out My Thunderstroke EngineBy DOUG, a Verified Buyer from Port Charlotte on April 25, 2025I was curious what switching from Indians 20w-40 semi-syn oil to Amsoil 20w-40 full syn might do to the operation of my Indian Chieftain 116 Thunderstrike engine. From the first ride, I was surprised that the engine ran with less vibration than before. It was also about 50% easier to find neutral (the worst of any bike I have ever owned in 50 years of riding) than it used to be. Cheaper than Indian's oil too. Try it.
