Smoothing Out My Thunderstroke EngineBy DOUG, a Verified Buyer from Port Charlotte on April 25, 2025I was curious what switching from Indians 20w-40 semi-syn oil to Amsoil 20w-40 full syn might do to the operation of my Indian Chieftain 116 Thunderstrike engine. From the first ride, I was surprised that the engine ran with less vibration than before. It was also about 50% easier to find neutral (the worst of any bike I have ever owned in 50 years of riding) than it used to be. Cheaper than Indian's oil too. Try it. So far very pleased with this product and find the engine temp is slightly lower and the engine noise is noticeably less. It's great to be able to order everything together (oil, filter and o ring).
